Dr Adhikari: Thank you so much.
OPN: How does it feel to have such esteemed Rank in such tough and competitive exams? How much hopeful were you for such Rank?
Dr Adhikari: I feel so much grateful and thankful to God.Actually I hoped to be among the top 10.
OPN: Who would you like to share your credit of success with? Any role models in your life?
Dr Adhikari: I would like to credit my success with my family, seniors, friends and Online PG Nepal who helped me to get the rank.
OPN: Please share your brief story after internship completion till the PG success day.
Dr Adhikari: As per schlorship contract I worked for 2 years at Manthali PHC, Ramechhap. I entered Loksewa then I joined Sindhuli Hospital and presently working at Ramechhap District Hospital.
OPN: How tough are entrance exams these days? How should an aspirant choose a smart way to excel?
Dr Adhikari: They are very tough these days because of limited seats and also because everything depends on those 2 hours of exam.Well the most crucial thing is high level of motivation..confidence and time management
OPN: What are the books and other resources you used for entrance preparation?
Dr Adhikari: Usmle step 1 First Aid, AIPGMEE Mudit Khanna, Complete Review of MDMS by Dr Sujit K Jha, Pre-PG online app and model tests of Online PG Nepal
OPN: What about time management? Many aspirants had problems during PAHS entrance. Any tips on it?
Dr Adhikari: Well the most important thing was time management. Luckily, I didn't miss any question.Although MCQ questions were long but they all were based on basics. And about SJT you can't do anything except trust yourself and go for it at once
OPN: How unique is Situational judgment questions? How to handle them?
Dr Adhikari: SJT questions were all based on the regular problems which we normally face at PHC level and district Hospital. So we don't need to panic for SJT just go with your experiences and be confident
OPN: What advices would you like to give to future PG aspirants?
Dr Adhikari: I think focusing on basics..theory..and ample revision and making notes which you can revise before exam is important.Don't spend too much time over tough and complex questions and try to minimize silly mistakes.And keep yourself motivated and happy.Build up your confidence with regular model tests.
OPN: What is adequate period of study and daily study hour?
Dr Adhikari: This depends upon your job as well as workplace.I gave almost 4 months for preparation with study hour of approximately 6 hours a day.
OPN: 1 month before exam, what shall students focus on?
Dr Adhikari: Its a very crucial period. The foremost and important thing is you don't get stressed out and keep yourself motivated and confident.Make sure you have revised what you have studied Remember we all have equal chances of being selected.
OPN: OPN: How can aspirants parallel their PG preparation and job together?
Dr Adhikari: It was a tough thing for me too. So besides your job make a habit of studying daily and practicing enough.
OPN: How can an aspirant prepare smart to excel competitive exams? Any tips about reading habit, memorizing and practicing technique?
Dr Adhikari: You have to be smart in your preparation, make notes,mnemonics,and the most important thing is don't repeat your mistakes. Have a habit of testing and challenging yourselves with model tests
OPN: You ranked always high in our regular Model Tests. How much helpful wan Online PG Nepal services to you?
Dr Adhikari: It was very much helpful. I used to give regular model tests and begun to feel confident. It saves your time a lot and provide all the high yield facts which we don't need to waste searching for it at the crucial hours.
OPN: Anything you would like to share more?
Dr Adhikari: Remember those 2 hours will be the most important part of your life. We all have equal chances of being selected regardless of our preparation. So be confident..motivated..and the most important thing is being happy and optimistic.
